Job summary

KIPP DC is seeking a School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for The Learning Center at KIPP DC’s Wheeler Campus in Washington, DC. This full-time, on-site role focuses on ABA-based support for general and special education students, collaborating with school teams to implement effective behavior interventions.

Responsibilities include developing BIPs, conducting assessments (functional analyses, VB-MAPP where appropriate), training staff, and supporting IEP goals and LRE

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis or related field.
• BCBA certification in good standing.
• Extensive skills in behavioral assessment and behavior support plan development.
• Extensive knowledge of data analysis.
• Experience working with students with limited access to quality educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Consult on behavior plans for general education students.
• Develop and manage Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students with disabilities.
• Support BIP implementation in classrooms through collaboration and modeling.
• Conduct fidelity observations to ensure accurate implementation of strategies.
• Collect data related to BIP goals.
• Complete functional behavioral assessments for general education and special education students.
• Conduct VB-MAPP assessments for students in self-contained programs where appropriate.
• Provide staff training on evidence-based behavior interventions and data collection.
