Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking an experienced Operations Systems/Controls Engineer for our Fairview, MO plant. You will develop and support SCADA, HMI, MES, and database-driven reporting to improve safety and production efficiency.

The role requires collaboration with Operations, Engineering, IT, and maintenance teams and involves project management and system documentation. You will work on Ignition Perspective-based dashboards, data collection, and integrations, with 24/7 availability for support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Industrial Control Systems or Manufacturing environment if no bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years experience in Operations Systems/Industrial Control Systems.
• SCADA, HMI, MES, Historian, Reporting/Dashboard, and Programming skills (Ignition platform preferred).
• Database skills in SQL and ability to write Python or scripting code.
• Understanding of PLC concepts and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and install SCADA, MES, and information management solutions on the plant floor.
• Design solutions to improve safety, efficiency, and performance of assets.
• Provide troubleshooting and proactive maintenance with cross-functional teams.
• Manage projects and document system implementations, training, and guides.
• Prioritize requests and maintain a backlog of system opportunities.
• Implement PLC solutions when they are the best architectural option.
