Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking an experienced engineer to develop, manage, and support operations systems on the plant floor, including SCADA, HMI, MES and data dashboards. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, IT, and contractors to deliver productivity improvements and ensure safety and performance of production assets at the Fairview facility in Carthage, Missouri.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial control systems or manufacturing, strong SQL/Python capabilities, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Industrial Control Systems or Manufacturing environment if no bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years experience in Operations Systems/Industrial Control Systems (preferred).
• SCADA, HMI, MES, Historian, Reporting/Dashboard, and Programming skills (Ignition preferred).
• Hardware and software configuration, architecture, and design understanding.
• Database skills in SQL and reporting.
• Ability to write software code/scripting logic (e.g. Python).
• Understanding of PLC concepts and Industrial Control Systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and install SCADA, MES, and information management solutions through programming/scripting, tag configuration, graphics, HMI's, reports/dashboards, and database systems.
• Design solutions to improve safety, efficiency, control, and performance by collaborating with users and partners.
• Provide issue support, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance of operations systems (24/7 call availability).
• Manage projects and plan system implementations with attention to production impacts and end users.
• Build and manage system documentation and user training/guides.
• Prioritize requests and manage a backlog of system opportunities with stakeholders.
• Implement and support PLC solutions where appropriate.
