Job summary

Rifenburg Companies in New York is seeking a detail-oriented Safety Administrator to support the Safety Department with meetings, audits, inspections, and incident reporting. This on-site role focuses on maintaining safety documentation, tracking corrective actions, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilities include coordinating claims, OSHA logs, safety training records (OSHA 10/30), a range of compliance activities, and collaboration with Divisional Safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT and other safety regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Company-wide claims related to Workman’s Comp, General Liability, and Marine.
• Investigate and resolve claims in a cost-effective manner with internal personnel and third-party administrators.
• Maintain safety documentation, incident logs, inspection logs, and safety statistics.
• Support filing, tracking, and review of incident reports; ensure records are accurate and up to date.
• Help compile and distribute annual OSHA logs.
• Coordinate annual safety meetings and employee training with Division Safety Officers.
• Maintain employee safety training records (OSHA 10/OSHA 30) at hire or advancement.
• Track new hire orientation program progress.
• Manage PPE inventory and distribute for new hire orientation.
• Prepare name labels for new hires’ hardhats; distribute toolbox talks and safety huddle books.
• Participate in annual Safety Manual reviews and monitor Safety Program compliance.
• Work with Divisional Safety Leaders to ensure corrective actions are completed on time.
