Job summary

GRIDWORKS is seeking a Site Construction Safety Coordinator to foster a culture of safety on renewable energy projects. The role supports BESS and PV implementations, conducts inspections, leads hazard analyses, and assists with safety trainings across multiple locations.

You will help maintain EHS documentation, supervise subcontractor safety adherence, and contribute to emergency readiness while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach is required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Basic understanding of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards and construction hazards.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and daily enforcement of site-specific EHS programs and procedures.
• Conduct site walk-throughs and inspections, identifying hazards and unsafe conditions, and reporting findings.
• Assist in JHAs, Pre-Task Planning (PTP) meetings, and daily toolbox talks.
• Support hazard awareness for BESS and PV projects, including battery safety considerations.
• Assist in delivering site-specific EHS orientations and specialized hazard training.
• Serve as a responder to incidents, accidents, and near misses, assisting with documentation and initial reporting.
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation, including inspection logs, training records, incident reports, and permits.
• Monitor subcontractor adherence to safety protocols and report deviations to the Safety Supervisor.
• Support emergency preparedness and ensure personnel are trained and equipment is maintained.
• Act as a visible safety presence on-site, promoting a positive safety culture.
