Job summary

Stacy Witbeck seeks a Safety Field Engineer in Southern California for a Port of Long Beach project. The on-site role emphasizes safety coordination, inspections, and program implementation within an award-winning, employee-owned company culture.

You will lead safety meetings, document corrective actions, and help develop workplans while supporting growth in safety resource planning across heavy civil construction and water facilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety experience in construction.
• 5+ years of construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• OSHA 30.
• Physically on-site on a full-time basis.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health and safety on-site daily and inspect work areas.
• Document inspection records and track corrective actions.
• Lead safety meetings and present monthly reports.
• Direct safety programs and stop work in unsafe conditions until corrected.
• Develop workplans and approach for safety compliance.
• Assist with take-offs for assigned portions of the estimate.
• Write and manage RFIs and Submittals.
• Manage costs, including tracking quantities and cost for production operations and materials.
