Job summary

Willow Creek Behavioral Health in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking an RN Intake Clinician for on-site work to facilitate admissions and conduct clinical intake assessments. You will manage the prior authorization process, verify insurance benefits, and coordinate with the business office and clinical staff to ensure timely and appropriate admissions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant mental health field.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in mental/behavioral health preferred.
• Experience in managed care pre-certification and level of care assessments preferred.
• Experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, referral, and treatment planning; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates intake, admissions, and prior authorization for incoming patients.
• Performs insurance benefit verifications and communicates findings to patients and staff.
• Provides coverage for the Call Center Team during high volume periods and handles admission requests.
• Maintains ongoing assessments of patient status and communicates recommendations and follow-up actions to care teams.
• Ensures EMTALA-compliant verification and precertifications when appropriate.
• Schedules/pre-admission assessments and collaborates with medical/psychiatric staff for admissions.

Education

Master's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, mental health or related field
