Job summary

Willow Creek Behavioral Health in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced RN Intake Clinician to manage admissions, complete clinical intake assessments, and oversee the prior authorization process to ensure appropriate care levels.

The role works with the business office, nursing, clinical staff, and external parties to admit patients promptly, verify insurance, conduct assessments, and coordinate pre-certifications as needed. On-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field is required.
• License as an RN or other clinical credential may be required depending on state.
• Experience with intake, pre-certification, and utilization review is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates intake, admission, and prior authorization for incoming patients.
• Performs insurance benefit verifications and communicates findings to patients and staff.
• Provides coverage for call center duties including processing admission requests and insurance pre-certifications during high volume.
• Maintains documentation for admissions and authorization processes.
• Collaborates with medical and psychiatric staff to determine level of care.
• Conducts clinical intake assessments and crisis intervention as needed.
• Educates patients and families about healthcare and resources.
