Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Morenci, AZ is seeking a hands-on restaurant operations leader responsible for overseeing daily activities, budgeting, and staff management at our on-site dining facilities. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service to support the Copper mining complex’s operations.

You will recruit, train, and schedule staff, monitor health standards, and resolve service issues while ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of supervisor or lead experience
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written instructions in English
• Effective communication in English regarding job procedures and safety standards
• Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment
• Availability for flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
• Ability to meet operating policies and standards including cash handling and safety
• Strong customer engagement and communication skills
• Compliance with dress code standards
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks during each shift

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Set annual budgets and manage costs, while developing cost-saving strategies to increase profit.
• Provide training and leadership to staff, including team building and performance management.
• Recruit and hire new staff, create schedules, and track attendance.
• Investigate and resolve service complaints and enforce disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality control.
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports and perform other duties as required.
