Job summary

Catholic Charities Portland, Oregon is seeking a Resident Services Specialist to support residents at affordable housing sites. The role involves coordinating programming, responding to resident needs, and collaborating with site staff to promote stability and wellness.

This full-time position in Happy Valley, OR requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work with diverse communities. It may include evenings and weekends, with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; Spanish preferred.
• Two years' work or volunteer experience preferred.
• Certification (or ability to certify within 30 days) in CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne pathogens/Narcan training.
• Experience with diverse populations and low-income families is a plus.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Foster positive relationships with residents and be a visible on-site presence.
• Greet residents and visitors and direct to appropriate areas.
• Update lobby materials and information about resources and area attractions.
• Maintain community room library and welcome packets.
• Assist in completing forms and move-in/orientation for new residents.
• Coordinate with on-site and external staff to support resident needs.
• Lead programming and host events, including budgeting and post-event tasks.
• Document resident interactions and report to supervisors as needed.
