Job summary

1Above Technology LLC is seeking an IT Technician to diagnose and resolve hardware issues, perform routine maintenance, and minimize downtime for users. You will provide in-person and remote support, document incidents, and coordinate with IT teams on upgrades and inventory management.

The role requires experience in desktop/laptop repair, setup, imaging, and network connectivity, plus strong communication and customer service skills. Physical lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose hardware issues.
• Experience providing technical support and maintaining IT hardware.
• Customer service skills to assist end users professionally.
• Training skills to help users understand hardware usage and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop/laptop hardware, printers, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues, including component replacements and upgrades.
• Set up workstations, imaging, software installations, and network connectivity.
• Assist with hardware inventory management, including tracking and lifecycle planning.
• Support network hardware (switches, access points, routers) as directed by senior IT staff.
• Provide on-site and remote hardware support for employees and clients.
• Coordinate hardware returns, warranty claims, and vendor repairs.
• Document all work in the IT ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT staff on deployments, office moves, and infrastructure upgrades.
