Job summary

nVent in Anoka, MN is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to own and evolve the R&D test lab infrastructure, spanning thermal, refrigeration, and high-density liquid cooling (HDLC) systems. You will lead preventive maintenance and calibrations, ensuring ISO 17025/UL readiness and reliability.

You will collaborate with R&D engineers on test cell layouts and data acquisition, support LabVIEW-based test software, and manage planned upgrades of existing assets and new facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in engineering/technical field.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience with electromechanical systems in lab/test environments.
• Ability to plan and execute maintenance in uptime-critical environments.
• Background with industrial refrigeration or thermal systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliability and long-term readiness of R&D lab equipment (thermal, pressure, mechanical, electro‑mechanical).
• Develop and sustain preventive/predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair, upgrades, and installation for existing and new test assets.
• Lead calibration planning and documentation to NIST/ISO 17025 and UL standards.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers on test cell layout, equipment design, and lab infrastructure.
• Support LabVIEW-based test software and data acquisition systems.
