Job summary

Crystal Group is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead the independent inspection team across receiving, in-process, and final inspections. You will ensure adherence to approved requirements, manage staff scheduling, and drive continuous improvement in quality metrics.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and proficiency with measurement tools. On-site work with occasional travel supports aerospace and defense-grade manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5-7 years of quality control/inspection experience in regulated manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor the independent inspection team and set goals.
• Manage schedules, attendance, PTO, and coverage with delegated authority.
• Prioritize inspection work based on priorities and risk; monitor queue aging.
• Ensure inspections use approved requirements and traceable records.
• Supervise receiving, in-process, final, and government inspections.
• Approve records or release conforming product within authority.
• Onboard and train Quality Control Inspectors; coordinate with Quality Engineers.
• Own inspection performance metrics and reporting to drive improvements.
• Lead improvements to standard work and visual controls.
• Coordinate with other functions to preserve independent Quality decisions.
