Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee incoming and in-process inspections and guide the inspection team to meet assembly standards.

You will plan work, train staff on shop specs, equipment, and job duties, and collaborate with production and quality to resolve issues, ensuring adherence to SMT, CCA and Class A inspection requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly, with at least one year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of electronics, SMT, CCA, environmental testing, and box build.
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate across all levels and to direct staff with established procedures and work plans.
• Prior experience using an ERP system.
• Proficient computer skills using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize day-to-day activities of more than 15 inspectors.
• Coordinate with production to schedule work and manage material flow through CCA, subassemblies, and Class A inspections.
• Direct incoming material inspections and coordinate with Hot List.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve production-impact issues.
• Monitor quality performance and address issues to meet required quality standards.
• Identify and implement training for each process area to maintain coverage and capability.
• Monitor individual performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Participate in continuous improvement teams and activities.
