Job summary

The Empowerment Program is seeking a Deputy Housing Director to oversee day-to-day property management across three sites, including a Permanent Supportive Housing facility and a transitional shelter, plus the main office. You will supervise one Maintenance Technician and coordinate master lease activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, Human Services, or related field.
• 3–5 years direct property management experience including lease administration, rent collection, unit turnovers, and vendor oversight.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance or operational staff.
• Experience with Housing Quality Standards (HQS), lease agreements, and Fair Housing regulations.
• Understanding of Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed Care in residential settings.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle for travel between the 3 property locations.
• Preferred: PSH or HUD-subsidized program experience; property management certifications; bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Direct daily property management across 3 sites, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and full functionality.
• Manage master lease and subleases with program participants per protocols.
• Oversee rent collection, receipts, and ledgers in compliance with program rules.
• Supervise maintenance work orders, turnovers, and vendor coordination.
• Conduct HQS inspections and ensure code compliance across properties.
• Collaborate with Housing Program Director, care teams, and staff to support housing retention.
