Job summary

Ballast Investments is seeking an on-site Resident Manager to support daily property operations, including maintenance, emergencies, resident relations, and leasing at our San Francisco property. The role includes an on-site unit at a discounted market rate and requires hands-on oversight of building upkeep and safety.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, coordinating move-ins/outs, supervising staff, reporting incidents, and supporting the Leasing team with showings.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in property management or related, service-oriented work strongly preferred
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Outlook, online timekeeping systems and smartphone applications
• Ability to work after business hours and on weekends as necessary
• CCRM (California Certified Resident Manager) or equivalent certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Daily inspections and upkeep of the building, walkways, and common areas
• Work with janitorial staff to ensure cleanliness of the building
• Clean laundry rooms, mailbox areas, and pool areas as applicable
• Maintain trash and recycling area and coordinate pickups
• Assist with light maintenance requests (bulbs, detectors)
• Coordinate move-ins and move-outs
• Report incidents to police and complete reports
• Respond to emergency on-call issues and coordinate with vendors
• Provide access to vendors for building
• Assist with vacant unit touch-up and showings support
• Maintain inventory of office and maintenance supplies
• Maintain log of work completed via timekeeping system
• Enforce policies and procedures
• Other duties as requested
