Job summary

Mon Ami Real Estate seeks a Property Manager for its Chicago public housing portfolio. You will oversee 98 units across four Old Town developments and seven condo associations, handling rent collection, certifications, and reporting while coordinating with CHA during admissions and annual reviews.

The role requires hands-on attention, familiarity with HUD processes, and strong budgeting skills to drive NOI and portfolio performance in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential property management with hands-on responsibility
• 3+ years of federally assisted housing compliance
• Public housing experience with HUD Form 50058 and 24 CFR Part 5
• Knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA/Section 504 and Illinois landlord-tenant law
• Ability to build audit-ready tenant files
• Budgeting and P&L analysis for portfolio performance

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of 98 public housing units
• Oversee CHA referrals, screening, and sublease process
• Handle annual and interim income certifications with verification
• Prepare monthly reporting package by the 15th
• Coordinate with CHA on grievances, notices, and evictions
• Supervise the Property Management Coordinator
