Job summary

Madison Apartment Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in all aspects of on-site property management. The role includes leasing apartments, administrative duties, and maintaining excellent resident relations.

You will step into the lead role when the Property Manager is absent, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies and procedures. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of property management experience or related supervisory role.
• Strong customer service track record.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM/Yardi experience preferred.
• High School Diploma is required; BA/BS in Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional on-site customer service to residents and guests.
• Train, motivate, and supervise on-site team members.
• Lead property tours, show units, and market amenities to close leases.
• Complete lease applications and assist with verification.
• Maintain resident records and manage rent collections and deposits.
• Oversee renewals, rent negotiations, and lease documentation.
• Conduct inspections of models, vacant units, and grounds.
• Develop and implement resident events and promotional programs.
• Maintain regular office hours and weekend/holiday coverage.
• Ensure compliance with housing laws and company policies.
