Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an on-site Assistant Project Manager/Assistant Superintendent-in-training for a minimum one-year on-site program. The role focuses on construction operations, client development and management, subcontractor relations, and project planning to prepare for future leadership in our projects.

You will support bid processes, maintain documentation, and collaborate with the site team to keep schedules, budgets, and quality on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience on commercial construction sites preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 75% and work in occupied buildings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize onsite construction documents (plans, specs, shop drawings, as‑builts) and revisions.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, Change Order Logs, meeting minutes, and invoices; review subcontract change orders.
• Assist with bidding, subcontractor qualification, and award processes; help prepare and present Bid Books.
• Communicate project information to team and coordinate with clients and vendors under PM approval.
• Develop budget summaries and track bids; prepare and present bid books to tenants/owners.
• Create and issue LOIs and contracts to subs; ensure proper tracking of correspondence.
• Collaborate with the superintendent to form project plans and assist with quality control.
• Prioritize correspondence, submittals, and RFIs to prevent delays; manage delivery schedules.
• Assist and track closeout documentation with subs and submit to project owner/end user.
