Job summary

Novo Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate project scopes, review materials, maintain schedules, and foster communication among owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors. The role emphasizes MEP systems knowledge and site collaboration.

The position reports to the Project Manager/Senior PM and is based at the project site, supporting a team to execute 2–4 projects annually, each 12–18 weeks long, with growth toward Assistant Project Manager over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• 2 internships and/or 1+ year of commercial construction experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently with minimal direction.
• Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience with project management software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Attend and coordinate project job walks.
• Participate in the RFP process.
• Produce quantity take-offs for multiple disciplines.
• Conduct daily project walks with the Superintendent.
• Support Safety Director in Site Safety Plans.
• Input project budget in Sentinel and track changes with subs.
• Develop and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement logs.
• Coordinate master drawings and logs using Fieldwire; distribute docs.
