Job summary

Bel Brands in Brookings, SD is seeking a Project Engineer to support and contribute to the successful execution of engineering and construction projects at the facility. You will collaborate with the lead Project Manager and Senior Engineer to coordinate activities, monitor progress, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Process, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field (GPA >3.0 preferred).
• Proven experience in engineering project coordination, site construction, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong MS Office skills, including Excel for tracking, cost follow-up, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as an active member of the project team to execute plans per scope, timeline, budget, and Bel standards.
• Maintain on-site presence to monitor progress and address risks.
• Coordinate with general contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant project execution.
• Lead or support special projects and engineering initiatives as assigned by the Senior Engineer or Project Manager.
• Prepare minutes, progress reports, dashboards, and project indicators.
