Job summary

Hensel Phelps seeks an on-site Project Engineer to manage project administration and office/field coordination. You will support the project manager and site team in data collection, cost control, scheduling, and vendor coordination.

The role requires a 4-year engineering or construction degree, 2–4 years’ large project experience, and strong communication. Proficient in Excel, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk enables effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• Minimum 2–4 years' experience on large commercial construction projects. Valid Driver's License.
• Strong communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office, Excel templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager and superintendents with data for monthly owner pay apps.
• Identify and resolve interface conflicts with trade partners and stakeholders.
• Interpret drawings, specs, RFIs, and questions for the architect/engineer.
• Develop and manage cost control and labor recaps with the PM and superintendent.
• Process potential change orders and RFIs and assist with scheduling.
• Monitor and report project progress; support safety and quality activities.
• Manage purchasing and timely acquisition of materials and equipment.
