Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Project Engineer to manage on-site administration, supervise office engineers and the jobsite administrator, and support the project’s financials, planning, and scheduling. The PE will collaborate with owners, suppliers, and trade partners, using BIM and other tools to resolve issues and manage changes.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 2–4 years of experience on large commercial construction projects; valid driver's license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager and superintendents with data collection and monthly owner pay applications.
• Resolve interface conflicts between company, trade partners, and among trades.
• Interpret drawings, specs, RFIs, and questions for the architect/engineer.
• Develop and manage cost control and labor recap with the PM and superintendent.
• Process and estimate change orders and RFIs; support project scheduling.
