Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to own end-to-end preconstruction for its megascale data center campuses, including civil/structural/architectural, MEP and power systems, from concept through NTP.

This site-oriented role requires leadership of design management, estimating and procurement strategy, with responsibility for long-lead equipment and buyout while coordinating with engineering, real estate, supply chain and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of preconstruction, estimating, or delivery experience on large-scale, fast-tracked projects.
• Proven ability to independently run full-scope preconstruction for a major project.
• Strong command of constructability, value engineering, cost benchmarking, and long-lead equipment markets.
• Experience with design management, budgeting, procurement strategy and buyout.

Responsibilities

• Design Management & Constructability: coordinate across civil/structural/architectural, MEP and power disciplines.
• Estimating & Budget Development: own campus estimates from concept through control level, track cost trends.
• Procurement Strategy, Long-Lead & Buyout: lead long-lead equipment strategy and bid processes.
• Utility, Entitlements, Risk & Handoff: coordinate interconnection, permitting, risk mitigation and smooth handoff.
