Job summary

Fleet Data Centers seeks a seasoned Preconstruction Director to own the preconstruction phase of mega-scale data center campuses. You will guide design management, estimating, procurement strategy, and buyout through NTP, then hand off to Construction with confidence in budget, schedule, and risk management.

The role requires deep owner-side experience, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with design, development, and supply chain to deliver a bought-out scope on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of preconstruction, estimating, and/or delivery on large-scale or hyperscale projects.
• Experience leading campus-level preconstruction; owner-side preferred.
• Proven ability to set budgets, contracts, and procurement strategies.
• Ability to lead a preconstruction team and collaborate with design, development, and construction leadership.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating systems and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Own campus preconstruction including design management, estimating, procurement strategy and buyout through NTP.
• Lead and develop the site-based Preconstruction Managers and set priorities.
• Establish standards, milestones, risk logs to ensure repeatable preconstruction output.
• Partner with design/engineering and development to align design with budget and reliability goals.
