Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Export, PA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and machining centers to produce high-quality parts on site. The role requires reading blueprints, applying GD&T where applicable, and performing shop math to ensure dimensions and tolerances are met.

Further duties include programming or editing CNC programs, adhering to safety standards, and supporting ongoing manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in CNC operations and conventional machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math calculations.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Fanuc control experience preferred.
• Journeyman or apprentice papers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produces and assures quality of parts and machine components.
• Operates CNC lathes and mills and multiple machining centers; may operate conventional machines.
• Reads blueprints and job orders for specifications and tooling instructions.
• Verifies conformance of finished work to specifications; programs and/or edits CNC machinery.
• Adheres to Wabtec Code of Conduct; performs other duties as assigned.
