Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and complete repairs at customer sites in West Sacramento, CA.

You will perform maintenance and repairs on generators and components, use diagnostic tools, and maintain thorough service records. The role emphasizes high/low voltage work, basic diesel engine experience, and ongoing field certifications, with a focus on customer interactions and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
• Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation.
