Job summary

Tri Counties Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager for Commercial Lending in Bakersfield, CA. You will drive growth and retention of assigned portfolio clients, analyzing credit facilities and collaborating with the Commercial Banking Regional Manager to deepen relationships.

You will model loan structures, ensure complete loan documentation, and coordinate with partners to identify expansion opportunities while maintaining risk controls and covenant compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience in the financial industry.
• Financial analysis experience and credit training.
• Strong business acumen and ability to analyze all types of loans.
• Superior understanding of financial statements, collateral and covenants.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills for cross-level dialogue.
• Experience with financial analysis programs and discounted cash flow models.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned Commercial or Business relationships and work to retain and expand through regular contact.
• Monitor profitability, retention and growth, including covenant management and account balance changes.
• Maintain a loan portfolio with risk controls per Bank policy and minimize delinquencies.
• Recommend and model loan structures for expanding relationships.
• Ensure all loan documentation is collected and complete.
• Coordinate with partners to identify expansion opportunities and key clients.
• Conduct periodic business reviews with partners for historical data and future financial solutions.
• Participate in research and analysis of customer relationships and market changes.
• Understand and promote Tri Counties’ Service with Solutions culture.
• Identify referral opportunities to cross-sell other bank products.
