Bank of Marin is seeking a Portfolio Manager II to join our Commercial Banking team in California. You will manage underwriting, maintenance, and risk across a commercial loan portfolio and support Relationship Managers to grow client relationships.

You will oversee the loan process from application to closing, analyze borrower finances, and monitor credit quality while delivering exceptional service. This role emphasizes sound credit judgment and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and loan portfolio management.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial loans from application through underwriting, approval, documentation, and closing.
• Analyze borrower financial information and assist in structuring credit solutions.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, and Credit Administration to support client relationships.
• Monitor loan portfolios for credit quality, covenant compliance, maturities, renewals, and exceptions.
• Prepare loan proposals, renewal requests, and related credit documentation.
• Process loan advances and draw requests per approved loan terms.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide timely, professional service.
• Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through additional banking products.
