RHI Magnesita in Hillsborough, NC is seeking a Production Operator to support safe and efficient plant operations by operating equipment, maintaining quality, and completing inspections. This role involves hands-on work in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing settings, a good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to document production records.

Formación

• Experience in a manufacturing, mining, processing, or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to complete production records and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear required PPE and obtain respirator clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate plant equipment including crushers, conveyors, elevators, and forklifts.
• Control material flow to meet established quality standards.
• Complete daily operational and 6S inspections per plant procedures.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and housekeeping activities.
• Conduct cleanup tasks as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of equipment and work areas.
• Communicate plant operating status and equipment conditions with maintenance and plant leadership.
• Report safety concerns, near misses, injuries, and equipment issues.
• Collaborate with team members to support production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
