Job summary

Rainin, part of Mettler Toledo AG, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the On-Site Service program. You will travel within a defined geographic region to inspect, repair, and calibrate Rainin pipettes, performing mechanical and electronic measurements to ensure conformance to specifications.

When not in the field, you may assist with depot service, complete service and expense reports on time, maintain tools and parts, and provide customer leads to Rainin Sales.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to repair and calibrate pipettes or similar lab instruments.
• Willingness to travel within a defined geographic region for on-site service.
• Strong attention to documentation and reporting of service activities.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to provide on-site pipette service according to the schedule.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble pipettes and instruments.
• Calibrate pipettes according to testing protocols and service options.
• Complete service reports, part usage tallies, and related paperwork accurately.
• Maintain service equipment, tools, and inventory levels.
• Generate customer leads for potential new product purchases.
• Assist with Service Center production activities when available.
• Ensure test equipment is maintained and calibration is up to date.
