Job description

This position will be responsible for direct support of Rainin's On-Site service program. The Field Service Technician works at customer sites within a defined geographic region servicing and calibrating Rainin and other brands of pipettes. Conducts mechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and inspection on pipettes serviced to ensure conformance to established specifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow the daily service visits schedule through careful coordination with the Area Service Leader.
• Drive to customer sites to provide onsite pipette service according to the service schedule, including use of personal vehicle when needed.
• While on site at customer facilities, provide pipette repair and calibration services.
• Represent Rainin to customers in a professional and positive manner.
• Work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a small team.
• Complete service reports and expense reports and maintain service equipment and parts inventory.
• Provide Rainin Sales with customer leads for potential new product purchases.
• When available, assist in Service Center production activities as assigned by the Area Service Leader.
• Travel out of local area of up to 50% of the time required to support the business, including overnight travel up to 25% of the time.
