Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Journeyman pipefitter in Texas to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping systems and related equipment for steam and process systems. You will read drawings, plan work, and perform installations with hand and power tools, ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires experience in piping, fittings, and corrosion-resistant joints, with ability to work at heights and in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and field experience.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines in job functions.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe sizes and materials per job specs.
• Inspects site for obstructions and plan sequence to avoid conflicts.
• Cuts, threads, bends, and installs pipes and fittings with proper joints.
• Mounts and secures pipe hangers and brackets.
• Test piping systems for leaks and observe gauges.
• Welds pipe supports to structural members.
• Assist with lifting and handling of materials and tools.
• Adhere to safety and project rules.
