Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join the Axis Spine Center. You will perform a variety of medical clerical duties including registration, pre-registration, documentation for billing, and payment processing.

The role requires multitasking and excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have basic MS Office skills, the ability to type 40 wpm, and strong communication abilities with prior clerical or medical

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; can relate to others.
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle registration and pre-registration to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Prepare pre-registration packets for procedures and gather documentation for billing.
• Process payments and co-pays; update medical records and register patients.
• Back up incoming calls and route to appropriate department; support nightly closing procedures.
• Make pre-registration reminder calls to patients including copays and deductibles.
