Job summary

ARK Products in Columbia, SC is seeking a part-time, temporary Customer Service Representative to handle incoming inquiries across phone and email, monitor live chat, and respond to comments and messages on social media. Hours are TBD, and the role is on-site in a small, family-owned environment.

You’ll work one-on-one with customers across multiple channels, process phone and mail-in orders, and assist customers at all stages of the order process—from selecting products to returns or delivery

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required and you’ve worked directly with customers by phone, email, or chat.
• You’re passionate about support and able to empathize with people.
• You understand that everyone has a bad day and can fix problems for someone.
• You like solving problems and coming up with creative solutions.
• You have strong writing skills and attention to detail.
• You value work ethic, take initiative, and can work independently.
• You’re flexible and able to handle curveballs in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone, email tickets, monitor live chat, and respond to social media messages.
• Interact with customers across multiple channels (phone, email).
• Process phone and mail-in orders.
• Assist customers at any stage of the order process from choosing products to placing or expediting orders and handling returns.
• Troubleshoot customer issues and offer solutions.
• Capture valuable customer insights and share with the team.
• Learn product features to recommend appropriate items.
• Provide light office support and assist with general duties.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
