Job summary

Lorenz Pan S.p.A. - AG is seeking a Field Technician to install, commission, maintain and repair palletizing systems at customer sites in and around Charlotte, NC.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support upgrades while ensuring safe and efficient operation. You will read schematics, configure parameters, train customer personnel, and document service activities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial machinery installation, alignment, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with automation and control systems (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, drives) and the ability to follow technical diagrams and schematics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and standard measuring instruments for field service work.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities in the region and work flexible hours as project and service needs require.
• Previous experience as a field technician, maintenance technician, or similar role in manufacturing or industrial automation is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing Lorenz Pan palletizing systems at customer sites.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation, configuring system parameters.
• Training customer personnel on proper operation and basic maintenance.
• Documenting service activities and providing feedback to engineering and service teams.
• Travel to local and regional sites and adhere to safety and quality standards.
