Job summary

SPS North America is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day on-site operations, manage a small team, and ensure shipping, receiving, mailroom, and related services run smoothly. This on-site leadership role requires hands-on involvement with the client, staff, and safety standards to deliver high-quality service.

You will oversee daily workflows, coordinate resources, and mentor team members while maintaining accurate records and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in operations, shipping/receiving, mailroom, warehouse, logistics, facilities, or related environment.
• Available business hours Monday-Friday with some weekend availability.
• Forklift experience is required; current certification preferred or must be obtained as required.
• Experience supervising, leading, or coordinating a small team.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside your team when needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions independently.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems/technology.
• Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational excellence.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day on-site operations and oversee shipping, receiving, mailroom, and related activities.
• Supervise a small on-site team, assign daily tasks, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Train team members on processes, safety procedures, equipment, and customer service expectations.
• Monitor performance and address issues in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and tracking of operational activity.
• Serve as primary day-to-day operational contact for the client and build client relationships.
• Ensure shipments, deliveries, mail, and materials are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational excellence.
