Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead daily logistics, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations onsite.

The role focuses on safe, efficient movement of materials and finished goods, with hands-on leadership in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse settings. You will develop teams, manage staffing and performance, ensure policy compliance, coordinate cross-functional workflows, and drive continuous improvement through lean practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop shipping, receiving, logistics, and warehouse personnel.
• Manage staffing schedules, attendance, overtime, and workforce planning.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and employee development activities.
• Provide ongoing training and mentorship to team members and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials and products.
• Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and other departments to maintain effective workflow and inventory control.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and service levels.
• Review reports, analyze data, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Investigate and resolve operational, inventory, quality, and customer service issues.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing and operational excellence programs.
• Conduct safety audits and promote a culture of workplace safety.
• Assist with departmental budget planning, goal setting, and performance tracking.
• Respond effectively to changing business demands and operational challenges.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
