Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company is seeking a Summer 2024 Intern for Orrville Operations Engineering to contribute to process improvements on the plant floor.

You will work with technicians and engineers to learn manufacturing processes and document results. This on-site internship offers hands-on project experience, data collection and analysis, and opportunities to communicate outcomes to stakeholders while supporting Smucker’s continuous improvement initiatives and mentorship from experienced

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior in engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be able to work in both an office and plant environment and comply with safety procedures.
• Strong data collection, analysis and documentation skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Work with technicians to identify process improvements on the plant floor.
• Coordinate activities of contractors and hourly technicians.
• Prepare standard reports and document results to communicate findings.
