Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company is offering an Operations Engineering Intern position at our Scottsville, KY plant. This role involves hands-on work with technicians to learn manufacturing processes and develop improvement opportunities while managing projects from scope through verification.

Interns will collect and analyze data, document results, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders. On-site, 100% in-person work is expected with competitive hourly compensation and housing stipend for eligible

Qualifications

• Engineering student in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering preferred.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Able to work in both office and plant environments and follow safety procedures.
• Demonstrates commitment to inclusion, diversity and equity in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technicians to identify process improvements and understand manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate activities of contractors, hourly technicians, and other resources.
• Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results.
• Manage projects from scope to implementation and verification.
• Collect and analyze data to drive improvements and communicate initiatives.
