Job summary

You will join a Process Engineering Team and work on experiments in the laboratory and pilot plant, analyzing data and evaluating potential processing changes for new products and equipment. We seek Sophomore or Junior engineering students in Chemical or Mechanical disciplines, with strong time-management and comfort working in lab, pilot plant, and plant environments.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior standing with educational experience in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Well-rounded skill set including time-management and the ability to work flexible/varied hours; comfortable in a laboratory, pilot plant, and plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with scientists, engineers, and technicians to complete multiple projects, analyze data, and present results to company leadership.
• Apply fundamental engineering principles to design and conduct experiments on pilot scale manufacturing equipment and analytical instruments.
• Interface as needed with equipment suppliers, manufacturing facilities and cross-functional business partners to achieve project goals.
• Develop foundational knowledge as an engineer in the food industry, with a focus on optimizing processes, equipment, and finished product attributes.
