Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a premier oncology hospital located in Houston, TX. The Patient Services Coordinator will coordinate patient scheduling, clinic templates, and flow to support efficient ambulatory care in the Hematology service.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 3 years of relevant experience (with pediatric care preferred), and a commitment to delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret & coordinate physician's orders to schedule diagnostic tests, procedures, treatments, & physician appointments.
• Convey appointment information to patients in a timely manner in person, by phone, or in writing.
• Manage patient scheduling to ensure clinic efficiency and flow.
• Receive and route multiple phone calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain patient information confidentiality.
• Maintain professionalism and seek additional tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
