Job summary

MU Health Care is looking for a Nurse Tech to support patient transfers, meal delivery, and feeding assistance in the Oncology department at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. As a key link in patient care, you will train new staff, respond to patient needs, and maintain efficient, orderly operations across shifts with day and weekend coverage, including an on-site work

Qualifications

• Nurse Tech role requiring relevant nursing care training or certification.
• Ability to train and educate new staff and manage multiple tasks.
• Patient-focused with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing/ancillary staff in transferring patients and delivering meals.
• Answer unit telephones promptly and relay messages accurately.
• Educate and train new staff members on Care Team Associate responsibilities.
• Perform patient hygiene tasks, vitals checks, glucose testing, and specimen handling.
• Enter information into the bed-management system and respond to patient needs.
