Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Network Defense Analyst for the 3rd shift (9PM-5AM) to join the CESO team in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on incident detection, monitoring, and response in a 24x7 secure environment.

This on-site position requires TS/SCI clearance, DoDD 8140 IAT Level II/III, and experience with Windows, Linux, cloud services (AWS/Azure), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and SIEM tools such as Splunk and Elastic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience; additional education or training may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required to start.
• DoDD 8140 IAT Level II/III certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Red Hat, cloud (AWS, Azure), and networking; familiarity with IDS/IPS and firewalls.
• Experience implementing security settings per vendor and DISA best practices.
• May be asked to obtain a CI Polygraph in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform computer network incident detection and response to identify threats to CESO enterprise.
• Monitor security tools for malicious activity, investigate alerts, and propose mitigation steps.
• Document events and analyses in a ticketing system with clear technical writeups.
• Maintain face-to-face interaction with the customer and address issues with minimal supervision.
• Influence team performance by improving CESO processes and procedures.
• Ensure timely system checks and complete, accurate documentation.
• Assist senior analysts with forecasting and modeling threats.
• Build strong rapport with the customer as a trusted network defense analyst.
• Collaborate with infra, storage, database, and app teams during cloud migration.
