Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Network Defense Analyst for the 3rd shift (9 PM–5 AM) to join the CESO effort in San Antonio, TX. This on-site role supports a 24x7 secure cloud migration and provides network defense, monitoring, and incident response services.

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience; active TS/SCI clearance required. You will detect and respond to threats, monitor SIEMs (Splunk/Elastic), and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• DoDD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• Strong computing systems knowledge with Windows, Red Hat, Cloud (AWS/Azure), and networking.
• Experience with implementing security settings per DISA best practices.
• May be asked to obtain a CI Polygraph in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform computer network incident detection and response activities.
• Monitor security tools and investigate alerts; develop mitigation recommendations.
• Document events in a ticketing system with clear technical writing.
• Maintain regular face-to-face interaction with the customer and handle issues with minimal supervision.
• Influence team performance and improve CESO processes and procedures.
• Ensure system checks are performed timely and documentation is accurate.
• Assist senior analysts and/or managers with forecasting and modeling threats.
• Develop a strong rapport with the customer as a trusted network defense analyst.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, database, and application teams for secure cloud migration.
