Job summary

UPMC is seeking a NOC Analyst Associate to join our Network Operations Center and provide first-line operational support for enterprise data and voice networks. You will monitor alerts, outages, and performance issues while coordinating with engineers, carriers, and vendors to restore service.

This on-site position at the Freeport Datacenter in Pennsylvania requires a 7 PM–7 AM shift with a rotating schedule and strong focus on incident documentation and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational support for data networks and enterprise monitoring.
• Experience logging into switches/routers and reviewing configurations.
• Familiarity with packet capture and analysis tools (Wireshark).

Responsibilities

• Monitor data and voice networks using enterprise tools and respond to alarms/outages.
• Provide Level 1 support for switches, routers, firewalls, and WAN circuits.
• Escalate incidents with clear technical findings and coordinate with engineers and vendors.
• Communicate updates to stakeholders and maintain incident records and diagrams.
• Assist with network installations, testing, and project work as needed.
• Adhere to security standards and participate in ongoing training.
