Job summary

VIAVI Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resident Engineer to provide dedicated on-site technical support and expertise to our key customers. This role ensures the optimal performance of Viavi's network testing and monitoring solutions within the customer's environment.

You will act as the primary technical contact, troubleshoot complex issues, assist with deployment and configuration, and conduct training. Travel may be required to support training or customer activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, operations, or technical support roles.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols and architectures; hands-on experience with testing/monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for Viavi products at the customer site.
• Provide proactive and reactive technical support, including troubleshooting and fault isolation.
• Collaborate with customer teams to understand network architecture and requirements.
• Assist with deployment, configuration, integration, and maintenance of Viavi solutions.
