Job summary

Addison Group is working with a retail company to hire a hands-on Network Engineer for a 6-month contract to hire. The role is onsite 3-4 days a week at the San Rafael, CA headquarters, supporting enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.

You will configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching, administer Palo Alto firewalls, manage SD-WAN connectivity, and support wireless environments with Juniper Mist or Cisco Meraki.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching.
• Experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience supporting wireless environments using Juniper Mist and/or Cisco Meraki.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a critical site location.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Network Engineer supporting the corporate headquarters location.
• Support and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure for a large user population.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco routing and switching environments.
• Administer and support SD-WAN connectivity across enterprise locations.
• Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewall infrastructure.
• Support wireless networking environments utilizing Juniper Mist and/or Cisco Meraki.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot network outages and connectivity issues across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure teams on upgrades, projects, and escalations.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Provide support for executive and business‑critical networking needs.
