Job summary

Cox Fleet in Tampa, FL is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to join our on-site team. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light repairs on trailers and equipment at customer sites.

You will work under supervision of a Sr Technician, use TRAIT app, maintain safety, manage parts, and advance mechanical skills while following company policies. We offer weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and career growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required, plus relevant field experience.
• DOT inspections and PMs on trailers and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers and equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Document findings, parts used, and work performed using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and company vehicle pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies in all tasks.
