Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician II to support our mobile service team in Los Angeles. The role involves preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics at customer sites while traveling across the region.

You will work with DOT inspections and follow safety protocols in a fast-paced field environment. The position offers production-based pay with flat-rate opportunities, requiring a valid license and a set of personal tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must supply personal set of hand tools.
• Minimum 1 year automotive technician experience on light/medium vehicles.
• 2 years of equivalent experience in a similar technician role.
• Participation in company training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and light repairs at customer locations.
• Conduct light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical diagnostics and follow-up repairs.
• Complete license DOT inspections as required.
• Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies and OSHA/DOT regulations.
• Maintain tools, parts, and a clean work area at each site.
• Document work and upload RO findings with photos using company devices.
• Order and pickup parts required for each job and manage RO documentation.
• Travel to multiple customer locations; work outside in most assignments.
